Work With Us

We believe that it’s the quality of the people who work with us that sets us apart – their energy, commitment, skills and burning desire to make a difference to young people’s lives.

We offer a working environment that values staff, promotes improvement and is small enough to give you a real chance to influence and achieve.

Investors In People

Young Futures is an Investors in People accredited organisation. We value the importance of determining the right strategy, keeping all team members on board, enhancing our management practices and continuously evaluating what’s working or needs further improvement. We deliver services in an increasingly competitive, rapidly changing sector with fewer resources. For us, the effective development of our team’s talents and career prospects is the only way we can ensure sustained growth and competitive advantage.

Positive About Disablities

Young Futures believes that people are disabled by barriers society places in their way and not by their own impairments. We believe that everybody has a role to play in society and we want to benefit from the widest range of talent available. Our recruitment policy aims to reflect these beliefs. Young Futures will offer interviews to any person who classifies themselves as having an impairment and who meets the criteria as detailed in the person specification.

Our Salary And Benefits Structure

We believe people should be paid well for work that delivers excellent service and changes the lives of young people leaving care. As a result we offer:

• Highly competitive sector salaries

• Recognition and promotion of excellent performance through a bonus system

• A pension

• A generous training budget

• Paid work-related travel

Residential Keyworker and Community Keyworker (two posts)

Can you make a difference to young people leaving care?

We currently have two positions available: one in our Therapeutic Residential Placement for young women (Yvonne House), and one in our Semi-Independent Community Placements.

We offer a working environment that values staff, promotes improvement and is small enough to give you a real chance to influence and achieve.

Do you have:

  1. Relevant experience in working with young people?
  2. Experience of planning and delivering key working sessions/life coaching/teaching/tutoring?
  3. Excellent communication skills and the ability to influence others, build strong relationships and manage professional boundaries?

Young Futures offers:

  • Good salary and benefits package (including a wellbeing fund for all staff)
  • 5 weeks’ paid annual leave
  • Professional development and access to extensive training opportunities
  • Monthly structured supervision, group supervision and excellent support
  • Opportunities to be involved in service development and, most importantly, help others.

If you think you meet these requirements and are passionate about improving the outcomes for young people then we would welcome and encourage your interest.

Young Futures is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of young people and expects all staff to share this commitment. An enhanced DBS check will be required for this post.
